Potato Storage

Wolds Produce has 54,000 square feet of temperature-controlled potato storage at our site in Pocklington, with a maximum capacity of 13,000 tonnes in a mixture of bulk and box storage.

We have a cold store capacity of 6,000 tonnes (in boxes) with a further 2,000 tonnes (boxes) of ambient storage. We also have 4 ambient bulk stores each with a maximum capacity 1,300 per store. All stores are temperature-controlled by the Cornerstone computer system 24 hours a day, and all stored crop is monitored both visually and by computer on a daily basis by Paul Ryan. Often your nose tells you something long before the computer!
